When his birthday comes on Friday and he laugh on that day, he become filled with Laughing Gas, and he can’t keep on the ground. He is a happy sort of man and he can smile and laugh at everything. If he does laugh, he will be up like a balloon…
So when Jane and Michael looked up what they saw was a round, fat man in the air and he was sitting on the air and reading a newspaper.
I am so glad that I decided to take part in this kind of reading activity 30 days before. It really is a brand new experience to me, and honestly, it is amazing!

And Confucius also once said, “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

菲茨和艾瑟尔的重逢，完全可以看出旧贵族与新思想的碰撞——即便并不是在政治背景下发生的。菲茨要艾瑟尔做他的情妇，为她准备了在当时已是不错的待遇，但艾瑟尔却担心自己无法参与斗争活动。艾瑟尔除却在情事上犹豫不决，她却仍旧是一个向往和平的斗士。她敢于拆劳埃德的台——尽管并不起任何作用。从这一章节的末尾来看，和平的火苗被踩灭了。我期盼着后面有什么转机却希望渺茫。
三十天了呀，几乎是眨眼就过了。
因为复习，有几天没来得及看书，写下感想，最终决定在今晚全部补齐。一口气读到现在，在第三十天的感想后面写下最后一个句号，充满了自我感觉中的仪式感。从《茵梦湖》到《巨人的陨落》，其间穿插《一个叫欧维的男人决定去死》《一个人的朝圣》《目送》等作品，三十天的文字历程算得上是丰富多彩了。感谢这次活动，也感谢各位用心推荐书目的同学，很高兴我们能够一起走过这趟人生旅程。
